How it works

33 of your friends give $3.33 (a latte)
a day for 3 months

That adds up to $10,000

You fully fund a school
for 1,000 children

Your Campaign
After launch, your campaign runs for 33 days. That's when 33 of your friends join you to give $3.33 a day for 3 months. What happens if I raise less (or more) than $10,000?

The Village
Your friends' credit cards are charged once per month for 3 months. As soon as the last payment has come in, your group is given the name of the village where the school will be built.

Construction Begins
We send you a video of construction starting along with a website where you can track the progress of the village. This is where it gets FUN.

Progress Report
Every school takes a different amount of time to be build. Some take a matter of weeks, and some take months depending on the weather, workers, and a number of other factors. You will be kept up to date and get a video of the progress.

Your School is Built
When it's done, we'll send you a video of your school full of smiling children all saying a big thank you for their nice clean school. You'll see the big windows, shelves, benches, chalkboards, and most importantly, the beautiful children with a safe place to learn.

Anytime
Come see it.
These schools are built to last for decades and you can visit your school anytime. You can even help build it if you like. WARNING: these trips are life changing... in a good way. See here for more details.

Everything is taken care of

The schoolhouse will be built in partnership with the community (local workers using local materials).

The teacher in your school will be paid for by the local government (just like here in North America) so no ongoing funding is needed.

This school is part of a holistic approach already in place including agriculture, water, sanitation, medical services, and women's programs.

The kids will learn the prescribed curriculum in the country by teachers who are trained to the country's teaching standards.

This is more than a school. It's a safe place where kids will learn about finances, gender equality, and how to make key life decisions that will empower them to make change.

What your team will get

Your team will get a beautiful colour certificate of thanks for you to display in your home or office. When construction ends, each contributor will receive a thank you video from Change Heroes showing the school you built together. You will also receive photos of the school and the kids you helped educate and empower, and we'll send you custom Facebook cover photos. Your team will also receive a pre-release copy of our upcoming documentary, which will feature people changing the world -- with your name in the credits!

Everyone on your team will get an invitation to go on a trip to Kenya to see the school we built together!
